A Structured Evaluation Process Built for Building-Level Leadership

SuperEval structures the full principal and assistant principal evaluation cycle — from annual goal setting to final sign-off — built around your district’s existing rubric or a framework from our library. Clear process. Consistent documentation. Meaningful conversations.

How SuperEval Structures the Principal & Assistant Principal Evaluation

Principal and assistant principal evaluations carry real weight — for building culture, instructional leadership, and district-wide performance. SuperEval gives evaluators and building leaders a defined, repeatable process so every evaluation is consistent, evidence-based, and focused on growth.

Outline Annual Goals

The principal or assistant principal and their evaluator co-establish annual goals tied to building priorities and district strategic initiatives. The evaluator selects which competencies from the chosen rubric will be included and sets the weighting for each evaluation category.

Self-Evaluation

The building leader completes a self-evaluation — selecting competency ratings, adding reflective narrative, and uploading illustrations of practice that demonstrate performance in each evaluated area.

Evaluator Review

The evaluator independently completes their own evaluation of the building leader, selecting ratings and adding comments and supporting evidence. Where multiple evaluators are assigned, each completes their evaluation independently.

Consolidate Evaluation Data

Self-assessment and evaluator ratings are brought together in a consolidated data view — comparing ratings side by side, surfacing highest and lowest rated competencies, and compiling all comments and evidence into a single document.

Final Review & Sign-Off

The principal or assistant principal and evaluator review the proposed final evaluation, upload any final reflection documents, and apply digital signatures to close the cycle. All documentation is available for download as a complete evaluation record.
