SuperEval Announces New Collaborative Agreement with the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA)

Olympia, WA – February 2026

SuperEval is pleased to announce a new collaborative agreement with the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA), a statewide professional association representing more than 1,600 educational leaders serving in central office, building leadership, and educational agency roles. This collaboration introduces WASA members to the SuperEval platform and includes permission to host two of WASA’s leadership evaluation frameworks through SuperEval’s research-based digital environment.

WASA is committed to leadership that advances equity and excellence in student learning. Through member services, professional learning, leadership development, and advocacy efforts, WASA supports administrators statewide in fostering competent, ethical, and visionary leadership across Washington’s public schools.

Through this new agreement, SuperEval will host two WASA-developed leadership evaluation instruments:

Washington Standards-Based Superintendent Framework©

Developed jointly by WASA and the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA), this framework offers a detailed, standards-aligned structure for superintendent evaluation across eight comprehensive leadership standards. For each standard, the instrument includes themes supported by descriptors of professional practices. These components create a strong foundation for reflective leadership conversations, professional learning cycles, and meaningful evaluation practices.

WASA Central Office Leadership Framework

The Central Office Leadership Framework supports the professional growth of central office administrators and highlights the knowledge, skills, and leadership behaviors necessary to guide instructional improvement across a school system. The framework outlines expectations for effective leadership across instructional support, system-wide improvement, collaborative relationships, and strategic use of resources. It also includes examples of leadership actions that strengthen school support and promote district-wide coherence.

Through the SuperEval platform, superintendents and district leaders can use these frameworks not only for their own evaluations but also to establish a unified, system-wide evaluation process for central office leaders and classified administrative staff.

“WASA is committed to supporting administrators with the tools and resources required to lead with clarity, purpose, and a focus on equitable student outcomes,” said Dr. Jeff Snell, Executive Director of the Washington Association of School Administrators. “Providing access to these leadership frameworks through SuperEval helps our members engage in reflective, meaningful evaluations that elevate professional growth and reinforce strong leadership systems across districts.”

SuperEval’s digital environment transforms leadership evaluations into reflective, growth-oriented processes aligned to leadership standards for excellence.

“It is an honor to collaborate with WASA and support the exceptional leaders who serve Washington’s students,” said Dr. Michael Horning, Jr., Group President and Chief Innovation Officer of SuperEval. “Both the Superintendent Framework and the Central Office Leadership Framework are thoughtful, research-grounded instruments that reflect the leadership needed to advance teaching and learning. We are proud to host these frameworks in SuperEval and support system-wide leadership development across the State of Washington.”

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening leadership capacity and supporting school system improvement through accessible, research-based evaluation tools.

“WASA has long championed strong leadership and continuous professional growth,” said Rob Seitelman, Strategic Partnership Executive at SuperEval. “We are grateful for the opportunity to spotlight WASA’s superintendent and central office frameworks and make them available in a digital format that supports reflection, communication, and leadership development across entire districts.”
